Continue following path alongside delapidated wire mesh fence to a tall 3-way sign post.

Continue straight ahead downhill passing Blue Millennium Milpost 29E (R) and bear left to Toucan Crossing and cross over Howdon Lane. Left downhill and around on green segregated cycle path along Armstrong Road.
Just before end of green path turn left across road - over raised dead end and into Station Road. Turn right onto Bewicke Road. Continue ahead and exit the 20 mph zone.

169.4 Pass in front of the Jet Petrol Station and join shared use path
  Pass Pedestrian Traffic lights and bear right into Western Road passing Albion Inn (R).
  Continue ahead using on-road cycle lane along Western Road to end of cycle lane - bear left on segregated cycle path to cross the new wide bridge over Willington Gut.

Straight ahead on new tarmac path uphill through trees to join segregated cycle path and pass Burgundy Millennium Milepost 81W (R).

Turn left downhill passing through two access barriers and follow (NCN14) direction
signs to the Tyne Cycle & Pedestrian Tunnel entrance.
