This section describes the National, Regional and Local cycle routes within Gateshead that are mainly off road using dedicated cycle and railway paths, which may include some short sections on quiet roads.

These routes will be described in both directions
and will include links to connecting cycleways.

out from the town centre that are mainly on road.
A general description of the route will be given.

The style of the direction signs indicate the status of the route i.e.
