I am impressed by the website.
Why is the route, from the riverside up the path under the King Edward bridge then over Askew road on the (old St Cuthberts village) footbridge through Windmill hill park, dismount to cross road, then on up through Coatsworth to Gateshead leisure center, not shown? 
It's a good way to avoid traffic when going South from central Newcastle.
It seems to me that neither council is interested in connecting a North South cycle route to the Millennium bridge.  The lane along the top of Saltwell park on west side of Gateshead college would make a good cycle track if the south end continued.

Comment: very good site. Very encouraging as I'm about to move to west of the metrocentre and commute by cycle to Sheriff Hill. Usefull to know of the routes available .

Comment: Very helpfull information expecialy the maps, after using this site i went on the keelmans way rounte and enjoyed it thankes to this site, But could be better if you could simply search for a map and directions for a one at a time
