SHARED USE PATH
A shared use path is one which can be used by cyclists as well as pedestrians.
On such paths, cyclists must give way to pedestrians.

Cyclists should NOT use the pedestrian side

NO CYCLING
Cycling is NOT permitted - dismount and walk

END OF CYCLE ROUTE

CYCLISTS DISMOUNT

On Road Cycle Lanes Signs

RECOMMENDED ROUTE

CYCLE LANE AHEAD
These can be either mandatory or advisory.

On advisory lanes other road users can drive into them if necessary and may be allowed to park in them at certain times.

CYCLE LANE AHEAD
Warning sign that there is a cycle lane ahead or that there is a cycleway crossing the road ahead.

ADVANCED STOP LINES

An advanced stop line reservoir at a signalled junction is a marked and signed area, like a box, in front of the stop line of traffic signals, which give cyclists a safe, visible area to wait, where they are segregated from other traffic.

There is a marked cycle lane leading to the advance stopline

This allows cyclists to move ahead before other vehicles, making it safer for cyclists to turn left or right.

CYCLISTS:
should proceed to advanced stopline and wait for the green signal

MOTORISTS:
should wait at the motor vehicle stopline
