Blaydon Burn Cycle Path

This route is an ideal family ride - being only 3 miles long
out and back along the deeply incised valley of the Blaydon Burn.

This traffic free cycle path follows the valley floor alongside the Blaydon Burn and is relatively flat until the head of the valley where it climbs steeply up to join the road - if you wish to continue further - otherwise return back to the Keelmans Way.

Passing under the B6317 and A695 roads the cycleway follows a track up the center of the steep sided valley and crosses over two small stone bridges where the stream forms a loop - to the end of the traffic free path near the village of Blaydon Burn.

At the north end the route connects with the Keelmans Way near the confluence with the River Tyne in between the Rail and Road bridges.

At its southern end it connects to an advisory route on the local road network.
