Keelman's Way - NCN 14

Friars Goose to Bill Quay

Turn left and continue straight ahead to end of road (dead end) - pass through bollards and take left hand path downhill to join a rough lane. At bottom bear right onto rough riverside track.

Link to Heworth Metro / Bus Interchange and East Gateshead Cycleway At bollards bear right following fence to Heworth Lane - bear right uphill then join path leading to car park and through underpass to Interchange.

At end of rough track - through bollards / boulders to join tarmac parth - follow this along riverbank then behind factory (L) until at bollards join Jonadab Road.

At junction jink left - right to join off road track, passing scrapyard (L)
Beware the Jack Russel guard dog chained outside !! He is noisy but he can't reach you !!!!!
Remain on this track as it winds its way high up along the riverbank before veering away from river uphill to a track junction.

You now pass into South Tyneside

NCN 14 continues down river to the Ferry landing at South Shields via Hebburn and Jarrow.
