Bill Quay to Friars Goose
NCN 14 in South Tyneside is also known as the South Tyne Cycleway
and as it enters Gateshead becomes the Keelman's Way

From the boundary with South Tyneside - head west up river and before the blue gate bear right downhill through the trees along a path high up on the riverbank - pass scrapyard (R) and jink left and right across road into Jonadab Road.
Alternative Route
At gate continue ahead along a rough track (Pelaw Waggonway) to bus turning circle - join road passing Wardley Hotel (R) and at X-roads turn right downhill. Turn left to re-join main route at Jonadab Road.
Through bollards and ahead on path to rivers edge and then along rough track to bear left uphill on tarmac path.
Turn left up a steep rough lane and then right (easy to miss) up a steep pathway - through bollards to join road.

Link to Hewortrh Metro / Bus Interchange and East Gateshead Cycleway Continue up Low Heworth Lane and bear right through car park and underpass to Interchange. |
Ahead and at T-jcn turn right downhill passing paint factory car parks (R) - left and immediate right to join off road cycle path and follow until reach road again.
