Bowes Railway Path to Keelman's Way NCN 14
Link 1A

At Wardley Bridge turn down the track passing the allotments towards houses. Turn right over the narrow rail bridge and follow the pot-holed Wardley Lane - to rail bridge - cross rail bridge passing stables and paddocks to join tarmac road - follow around until embankment.
Join short path up to A185 Victoria Road - use safe crossing point and then on shared use path down along side one way road into Davidson Road. Follow road around to bus turning circle -

For Hebburn and down river turn right along the wide rough track behind houses to the district boundary to join NCN 14.

For Gateshead continue along Brack Terrace - passing pub (R) to turn right at X-road - down hill then left to join Keelman's Way NCN 14.

At Wardley Bridge turn down the track passing the allotments towards houses. Turn right over the narrow rail bridge and follow the pot-holed Wardley Lane. Before rail bridge / stables - turn left and join path alongside railway line to Pelaw Station to join Team Colliery Waggonway

This link will follow the north side of the Felling Bypas A184 between the Jingling Gate at Wardley to the A184 underpass on Teams Waggonway near Heworth.
Partly on new cycle paths and partly on road.

Link 3
This follows the Woodwynd - an ancient trackway.
From the Bowes Railway Path where it crosses Leam Lane - turn right uphill on road about 1/3 mile - pass school (R) and turn right to follow the Woodwynd, an off-road track through the trees.
At Wealcroft Road cross straight over and continue to follow the track downhill to reach a road again and join the Team Colliery Waggonway at Creslow - high Heworth.

Near the top of the Springwell Incline just after crossing over a metal bridge - turn left down and back under bridge - ahead on rough lane to Leam Lane.

Either
Cross straight over to join bridleway between houses and school playing fields - (this may be overgrown)
Or
Turn left and immediate right into Aycliffe Ave. Next right Aycliffe Cresent and right again Whitehouse Crescent - 100m turn left between houses and follow the path around to left over open grassland to join Teams Colliery Waggonway.
