Derbyshire Cycle Network
Home Page
This site is best viewed in a screen resolution of 1024x768

The primary function of the site is an overview of the Derby section of the National Cycle Network. Both Route 54 and Route 68 start in Derby town centre. From here Route 68 will take you North to Berwick-on-Tweed in 300+ Miles. Whilst Route 54 goes West to Birmingham and its canals.
Route 6 passes through Derby from Leicester and continues on to York (154 miles further North).
On this site you will find details of cycle events organised by the local Volunteer Rangers. Links to relevant pages show some photos and text relating to 'Past Events' so that you can get the idea of how our cycling ventures are organised.
If you would like to join in at any of the dates you see mentioned on the 'Ranger Meetings' section, please do so, you will be welcome whatever the occasion or weather!
Of course if you are new or returning to cycling then you will find some useful advice in our 'New Cyclists' section.
Lastly on our 'Contact Rangers' page, if you have any suggestions or concerns about any of the Local Routes (R6, R68, R54), you will find links to enable you to get in touch with the right person (possibly a local Volunteer Ranger). If you have problems with any of the other Urban Cycleways, Junctions or Roads, these would be the concern of the Derby Cycling Group or here you may contact the Local Area Council.
