Route 68 passes through the centre of Derby and goes on into Friar Gate, one of the remaining old parts of Derby. At first glance Friar Gate looks like any post war street with the wide tree lined road and the well maintained buildings on either side. The truth is that the early parts of this street were built in the 1700's and by it's reputation, it is the most haunted street in Derby. This is not a place for a history class but I have included some pictures to whet your appetite. You may wish to see how many you can spot as you ride from the start of the Route 68.
