This sculpture is at Newburn Tyne Riverside Country Park
and stands close to the cycle path near the childrens playground.

The sculpture was designed by Jennie Speirs and was installed in 1987. It is cast in Cement Fondue from moulds made by the artist.

The sculpture presents two faces to the viewer:

1/. Looking downstream a relief of an industrial landscape can be seen - reflecting the nature of the river down stream from this point

2/. Looking upstream a relief of a rural scene can be seen with a horse grazing - which reflects the nature upstream from this point.
