Continue straight ahead - passing Prince of Wales PH (L) to T-jcn with Borough Road
172.6 Turn right uphill - pass below high level footbridge and first left turn through bollards into Trinity Lane and ahead into Addison Street

At end of Addison St. turn left and immediatly right into Lawson Street.
Ahead to junction with Dock Road and turn left.
Next left - through concrete anti-vehicle blocks - to join off-road cycle path and follow to bottom of Ballast Hill Road.

Up river to Newcastle

Down river to South Shields or Tynemouth

Link via Shields Ferry to NCN 1 and NCN 14

Turn left down narrow lane onto the North Shields Ferry landing stage and cross the river.
