Guide Notes
159.0 After passing under Blaydon Bridge bear left towards the traffic lights. Cross service road staying on the south side of Scotswood Road, ahead 75 mtrs to next set of traffic lights.
159.4 Using the cycle / pedestrian crossing lights - cross over to the north side of Scotswood Road - turn right on shared use pavement - ahead 100 mtrs and just after passing under a large road sign, bear left up ramp, to join railway path again.

159.6 After crossing over a disused railbridge, take 2nd turn left approx. 45° up the short slope staying on grey tarmac path, at top of slope bear right and continue ahead on wide grey tarmac railway path. Green Millennium Milepost 154W. on the right.
The Coast to Coast - C2C - cycle route joins from the right at this point.

160.5 Keep straight ahead, passing the Whitehouse Enterprise Centre (L), (a building that looks like a multi-storey car park), and descend back down to Scotswood Road and continue along north side up to the traffic lights at Whitehouse Road.
Cross over to the south side of Scotswood Road and turn left along the wide shared use path towards the next set of traffic lights at the junction with William Armstrong Drive.

Cross river link via Scotswood Bridge
linking to NCN 14 - Keelmans Way and Derwent Walk
