name:
Dave Evans
location:
Tamworth
message: I've walked the Pennine Way twice, this
site has given me the inspiration to have a go at cycling a lot of the route,
might even start from Tamworth.
name:
Tony Keates
location:
Melmerby in Coverdale, Leyburn, North Yorkshire
message: A great website - good to see the full
route online, having been a member of the Inaugural Ride in July. Unfortunately
I could only do the last 4 days from
Ingleton to Berwick but I hope to do the complete route (or at least the southern
part from Derby!)this year. I would recommend this route to all cyclists who
want to get away from busy roads and cycle some of the finest and challenging
scenery in England.
name:
Paul Sharpe
location:
Sheffield
message: A very useful and imformative site.
I and a friend will attempt the route during the Summer and intend to use the
site (along with official maps) to complete our planning.
Thank you for all the effort that you have put into the site.
name:
Michael Brooke
location:
Oxford
message: We are planning to do this in April 04.
The accommodation recommendations are
very useful and we will use them
name:
vernon levy
location:
Leeds
message: A great site. I'll be using it to plan
an attempt in the Spring to guage whether or not a much longer ride is feasible
in the summer.
Congratulations on producing another great site, I've made an entry
in your riders' log pages on your C2C site, look forwards to doing the
same here in due course.
name:
Chris Vincent
location:

message: This looks too good to pass up. Did the walk many years ago, so will plan to
cycle this route during the summer of 2004. If anyone has done it camping all
the way please get in touch.
name:

location:

message: many thanks for all the hard work in creating what is a very useful resource
which i will be referring back to as i am planning to attempt the route in
june 2004

Gareth
location:
Worksop
message:
Rode the southern section last weekend and really enjoyed it. Building up our
fitness now for an assault on the middle section and then the northern section
beckons us - if we have recovered from the hilly bits! Thanks for the site,
we rode the c2c purely because of your inspiration on the C2C website and this
seems to be another fantastic website for cyclist. How about the Coast and
Castles once this site is finished?
name:
Alex Bottomley
location:
Redhill Surrey UK
message: Tim, Ed and myself have completed it. Starting in Nottingham 12pm monday 20th
acroos to Derby where we hit the PCW route arriving in Berwick on saturday
25th 4.30pm. A new wheel + pannier rack were purchased on the way. Awesome
ups and mad downs wicked views and colours at this time of year. Plenty of
great people met along the way, be they publicans/punters, hostel managers,
campsite owners, caravaners, helpfull bike shop staff, cafe people, fellow
cyclers and Train people! Could go in to to much details about were to stay,
what to look for but that would take away half the fun for you if your planning
on doing the whole route. Blessed were we only rained once over widdope moor
dried of in colne, blue skies all the way and this was late october. Well worth
the challange. Thanks to all the people who put together this route we had
a brilliant time. PS Buy the maps you will probably need them.

Dave Saunders
location:

message: Had visited your C2C and North Pennine Cycleway websites and am grateful to
you for also building the full route website for us all to browse and learn.
I will be back in touch once I have cycled the route with some photos and hopefully
no frostbite!
